Commodify. Consume.
Repeat.
The group exhibition, 'Commodify. Consume. Repeat.' featured artists: Jonathan Campo, Henry Mathieu, Will Milner, Claire HarnEnz, Thomas Macker, Mark Dunstan, Sully Sullivan and John Bufalino. The work didn’t directly depict people; it wasn’t a show of portraits per se. It was a show of landscapes and interiors depicting a world where people assume everything in every direction is for people. It was a show that depicted tensions between the natural environment and the built environment. These days it can be easy to confuse what's 'natural' with what's 'normal,' even if many features of our shared surroundings are anything but 'natural.' As we navigate the urban sprawl, can we refocus our attention in between the billboards, past the screens, and beyond the BOGO deals? Can we catch an occasional moment of inspiration, wonder, or awe? How should we spend our money? How should we spend our time? The work hung at at Silver Hill Studio in North Charleston, SC, from May 22nd-24th, 2026.
